Posters up for CPA campaign for Lee

Posters for Communist Party candidate for the South Australian seat of Lee, Bob Briton, went up on Adelaide’s distinctive “stobie” poles on Saturday as the election campaign officially kicked off. Premier Mike Rann got Governor Scarce’s signature on the writs for the election mid-morning but some groups, most notably the ALP, didn’t wait for this legal requirement before attaching their advertising. Some posters had been put up the night before with the clear intention of grabbing the best spots for their candidates. Teams for the CPA head out from the Party office in Royal Park at the proper time and achieved good coverage on the area. The Party’s candidate is getting considerable exposure in the local media and great support for the campaign.
