Where is Cuba heading?

A party event in the party building

A well attended meeting on Saturday June 18, was addressed by the two Cuban diplomatic reps in Australia: Cuban Ambassador Pedro Monzon Barata and Cuban Consul General Reinaldo Garcia Perera. Ambassador Pedro gave a brilliant and witty speech which discussed the changes agreed to at the latest Congress of the Cuban Communist Party to bring about a better Cuban economy and socialist system. This stage of the Cuban Revolution is a necessary step to improve socialism and that a key question is to create a balance between social justice and increasing economic efficiency. The changes adopted by the party congress were discussed throughout the country and will be continuously monitored by a special commission set up for this purpose. Consul Reinaldo ably backed up the speaker and the CPA President Vinnie Molina chaired the meeting.
