Sydney rally – World Refugee Day

Each time the government moves on refugee issues they opt for cruellest and most inhumane policy and mimic the hated policies of the Howard government. The “solutions” that go by the name of Malaysian and Nauru are not solutions, and this message was rammed home time again by many speakers. The Party’s Central Committee took a break from its deliberations and attended the rally, giving out many Guardians and making their presence felt through carrying the party flag. The CPA believes that refugees should not be detained indefinitely but be kept for a short while for health and criminal checks and then released into the community.
