This Week ...

Hello comrades!

In September of 1938 the Fourth International was founded. What followed was a string of tendencies and ideas that have attempted to supplant the science of Marxism-Leninism as the dominant socialist ideology. These attempts up until now have failed, even in the light of the dissolution of the USSR but nevertheless persist. Trotskyism is antithetical to the building of socialism and this week we set-out to highlight why.

Trotskyism is a “Left” deviation from Marxism-Leninism, but there are other kinds too, such as forms of “Right” deviations. This month we will look at Sectarianism, and we start here by providing an article that touches on the features of “Left” sectarianism.

Eight-one years ago today Australia entered the Second World War. Australian communists were on board fighting fascism, but were weary of the man leading the charge at the time – Robert Menzies. Here is a statement released immediately after Australia’s entry into the war by the Central Executive on these nuances.
