Below are the greetings from our fraternal parties from around the globe, sending us messages of well wishes and solidarity. More will be published in the following issue.
COMMUNIST PARTY USA
The membership of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) sends its greetings and congratulations to our fraternal comrades in the Communist Party of Australia (CPA) in honour of your party’s 14th National Congress.
The Australian government has become a lapdog of the United States in the Pacific and Oceania regions. Australia fights alongside the United States to preserve the global hegemony of capitalism and is one of the great supporters of United States imperialism. Via the AUKUS deal, the Australian government has volunteered to be a forward base for the United States encirclement of the People’s Republic of China. It is within these conditions that the CPA must operate.
The CPA is the leading force in all progressive fronts in Australia. The CPA fights for the working class of Australia, fights for the rights of the Aboriginal Peoples and against the forces of imperialism. The CPA is an example of how a Communist Party can fight the capitalist class from within the imperial core.
The close fraternal ties between our two parties is a point of great pride for CPUSA. As can be seen in our two parties joint work in fighting the AUKUS treaty, we are able to come together to fight against capitalism and against imperialism. The CPA’s speech at the recent meeting of the Communist Party of China and Marxist Political Parties from Europe, North America, and Oceania was inspirational and motivating for many members of CPUSA.
As the CPA holds its 14th National Congress, all members of CPUSA stand in solidarity with you. May our two parties continue to work together, shoulder to shoulder, against imperialism, towards the defeat of capitalism, and for a brighter socialist future!
Long live the Communist Party of Australia!
Long live Communist Internationalism!
Alvaro Rodriguez
International Secretary of the Communist Party USA on behalf of the co-leaders of the CPUSA, Rossana Cambron and Joe Sims
PROGRESSIVE PARTY OF WORKING PEOPLE (AKEL) (CYPRUS)
AKEL sends militant greetings to the Communist Party of Australia on the occasion of its 14th National Congress. We wish all delegates fruitful deliberations.
Your Congress is being held at a time of increased tensions and threats orchestrated by US imperialism and its allies aiming to impose their domination and control over resources all over the planet. The AUKUS agreement, involving your country, is part of these plans. We denounce their imperialist plans and the imposed militarisation of international relations, which goes hand in hand with a sharp increase in the arms trade- a most lucrative and lethal business. The ongoing crisis in Ukraine is part of the US and NATO’s ceaseless streaming eastwards aiming to encircle Russia and achieve their long term goals. At the same time, the US aim to control the European energy market and exclude Russia as the main natural gas supplier to major EU member-states, is part of the war hysteria launched from Washington and London as well as Brussels. Any military conflict would be catastrophic first and above all for the peoples of the region and have adverse consequences worldwide.
Against these developments, the progressive forces and especially the Communist and Workers Parties around the world have an essential role to play to resist warmongering and organise for the respect of every people’s right to live in peace. This is also essential for the interests of the working class, the marginalised groups and the popular strata.
The solidarity of the fraternal parties around the world, including the CPA, is very important for our struggle in Cyprus for the liberation and reunification of our island in the framework of a Bizonal, Bicommunal Federation based on the relevant UN resolutions. The continuing Turkish occupation as well as attempts to consolidate the fait accompli of the divisive status quo, constitute a great threat for a final partition of the island. We thank you for your long-standing solidarity with our struggle.
Despite the geographical distance between our countries, there are several issues uniting our struggles. One of them is the community of Cypriots in Australia, many of whom preserve close ties with your Party and the struggles of the working class in Australia. We take the opportunity to express our readiness to develop further our bilateral relations.
We wish you every success in your Congress deliberations, in your path to strengthen your struggles and achieve your political goals to the benefit of the working people, for social justice and peaceful development.
Comradely greetings
The Central Committee of AKEL
The Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea

COMMUNIST PARTY OF CHINA (CPC)
On the convening of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Australia, we, the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, wish to extend our warmest congratulations to you.
Over the years, the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the CPA have further developed our friendship through deepened dialogues and exchanges. In the spirit of seeking common ground while reserving differences, mutual respect and mutual learning, the CPC stands ready to work with your Party to further promote exchanges and cooperation, and enhance mutual understanding and mutual trust, so as to contribute more to developing friendship between our two peoples and pushing forward peaceful development and progressive cause of the world.
We wish the 14th National Congress of the CPA a great success!

COMMUNIST PARTY OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION (CPRF)
The CPRF Central Committee sends fraternal greetings to the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Australia, all members and allies of the Party.
Congress is a very important event in the party’s life. Concentrating on the revision of the former activities might bring the new prospective and help find solutions to many vital issues both domestic and global.
With every passing day, we witness the aggravation of the living standard as a result of the world imperialist assault with a vivid attempt to deprive the proletariat of all social gains. The bourgeoisie is once again trying to shift all consequences of the global economic crisis followed by the COVID-19 pandemic on to the working class.
The Communist Party of Australia is always at the vanguard of the fight for socialism and human and social rights, for fair attitude to every person.
We congratulate the Communist Party of Australia and express confidence that your party won’t change the preplanned way of strengthening its ranks to increase its growing authority in the country.
We wish you revolutionary firmness, determination and optimism in your struggle.
Fraternal greetings,
CPRF CC International Department
COMMUNIST PARTY OF BRITAIN (CPB)
Greetings to the comrades of the Communist Party of Australia on the occasion of your 14th National Congress.
The Communist Party of Britain sends its solidarity and greetings to the Communist Party of Australia on the occasion of your 14th National Congress.
In doing so we remember our two parties deep historic links of joint campaigning against British imperialism and more recently joint struggles against Cold War aggression and neo-colonialism.
Today we face a new Cold War. Our two governments have joined with the United States in the aggressive AUKUS pact enabling nuclear submarines, powered by weapons-grade uranium, to menace the shores of China – leading on to wider offensive alliances in the Pacific.
These actions are a direct threat to world peace. Our two parties have a shared responsibility to mobilise our peace movements in opposition and to win an understanding within our respective labour movements of the broader threat to employment and future investment.
We therefore thank the Communist Party of Australia for taking the initiative in organising a joint campaign involving both the CPUSA and ourselves.
Your party has done so at a time when our respective governments have demonstrated a criminal irresponsibility in the handling of the Covid epidemic – exposing tens of thousands to long-term illness and death – and when both Australia and Britain face rapidly rising inflation, unemployment and attacks on workers’ rights in circumstances that serve the needs of big business and finance capital.
Here also, in exposing and challenging financial consortia that are often jointly owned from both Australia and Britain, we have a common enemy.
Dear Comrades, we wish you well in the work of your Congress. We look forward to further cooperation.
Long live socialism and working-class internationalism

General Secretary
COMMUNIST PARTY OF SWAZILAND (CPS)
The Communist Party of Swaziland (CPS) conveys revolutionary greetings to all the delegates to the 14th Congress of the Communist Party of Australia (CPA) held under the slogan “Build the Party for a socialist future!”
We acknowledge the slogan since it recognises the strategic role of the Communist Party in the seizure of power and the building of socialism in Australia.
Your Congress is held under difficult conditions, where the COVID-19 pandemic, along with a very long period of restrictions, has impacted the working class. On the other hand, the capitalists have maximised their private profits at the expense of the working people. As a party in Africa, we have also seen what is now known as “vaccine nationalism” and “vaccine apartheid” spearheaded by the imperialist forces. Consequently, still a minority of Africans have been vaccinated thus far.
The people of Swaziland continue to wage the fight against the absolute monarch, the last in Africa under the “Democracy Now” campaign. The people of Swaziland have been living under an absolute monarchy system since 12 April 1973 when the king unilaterally repealed the independence constitution, banned political parties, organisations and activities, and bestowed all executive, legislative and judicial powers on the monarch.
The consequences of the system have been deepening poverty alongside extreme riches for the royal family, as well as virtually collapsed healthcare and education systems along with many other crises.
The response of the regime to the demands of the people for democracy has been nothing but atrocious. From June 2021, the regime has murdered about 100 people who demanded the democratisation of the country under the “Democracy Now” campaign launched by the CPS in 2019. Over 500 people were heavily wounded, with about 700 arrested.
The CPS calls for the unconditional unbanning of political parties, unconditional release of political prisoners, unconditional return of political exiles, recognition and respect for the rights to freedom of assembly, association, speech, including free media.
The CPS calls for strengthened relations between our parties, for we are involved in the same struggle for the emancipation of the world.

WORKERS’ PARTY OF BELGIUM (PTB-PVDA)
On behalf of the National Council of the Workers’ Party of Belgium (PTB-PVDA), we congratulate you with the organisation of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Australia (CPA), under the slogan “Build the Party for a Socialist Future.”
We celebrate with you also the 101 years of courageous working class and people’s struggles on various fronts, which your party led, guided or played an active role in.
We congratulate your Party with its significant growth since the 13th Congress held in 2017. We support your commitment in the struggle for Aboriginal land rights, trade union rights, the environment, peace and efforts to halt and reverse the negative consequences of the economic and financial crisis created by the world capitalist system.
We are convinced that the struggle for peace and against the New Cold War is of particular importance in this rapidly changing world. Therfore, we applaud your campaign against the AUKUS Treaty, and would like to learn more about it, in a spirit of proletarian internationalism.
Wishing you a successful Party congress.
