The Communist Party of Australia condemns Israel’s genocidal war against the Palestinian people. For 76 years Israel has committed crimes against humanity and the world has witnessed 12 months of genocide against the people of Gaza. This must stop now!
We demand an immediate end to Israel’s aggression and crimes and call for the complete withdrawal of all Israeli military forces from Gaza and the West Bank.
We call:
- The United Nations to insist upon the implementation of its resolutions which require Israel to withdraw from Lebanon, the Syrian Golan Heights and all Palestinian land illegally occupied during the 1967 Israeli war.
- Israel to dismantle all settlements constructed on occupied territories.
- The Australian government to withdraw its support of Israel’s aggression and to support intervention by the United Nations to bring about a peaceful settlement incorporating the above measures.
We call upon Australians to rally in defence of the Palestinian people who are in the frontline of the struggle for an independent homeland in the face of the plans of the Israeli and US governments to embroil the whole Middle East in war. Such a war could once again lead to a world war with enormous destruction and loss of life.
For many years, Israel has been systematically seizing Palestinian land, establishing settlements and driving Palestinian people into exile and refugee camps. The aim of the Zionist leaders of Israel is to create a ‘Greater Israel’ and to impose their domination on neighbouring Arab countries.
This is behind Israel’s current war drive, now also bombing Lebanon and Yemen, killing thousands of people and displacing a million people.
Israel has been financed, armed, and politically supported from the time of its foundation by successive US, and British administrations. The present war being waged against the Palestinian people is fully supported by the Biden administration which has facilitated and given diplomatic cover to the aim of dominating the whole of the Middle East, an aim shared by the Israeli, US and British governments, and supported by the Albanese government.
We call on the Albanese government to cut diplomatic and military ties with Zionist Israel and to expel the Israeli ambassador to Australia.
The CPA fully supports the right of the Palestinian people to establish their own independent state. The Palestinian State must incorporate the West Bank and Gaza Strip, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
