Caravan distraction
Dear Editor,
Media reports in NSW about a caravan full of explosives has been used to inflame tensions about antisemitism and deflect attention away from the genocide committed by Israel’s attack on Gaza. However, the caravan explosives were up to 40 years old and well past their use by date. The media is not asking the crucial question. Who would organise such a hoax and why? The police report that some organised crime figures were involved in a prison reduction scheme. They also report that this is a common occurrence among criminal groups. There was no detonator in the caravan but there was a list of synagogues in Sydney.
Who would pay several minor criminals to prepare a hoax caravan? Who benefits from such actions? The pro Palestine marches were held within 200 metres of the Sydney Synagogue each week for over 16 months without incident. For pro-Palestine people to engage in property damage of Jewish sites would be a sure way to call down a torrent of hyperventilation of self-righteousness and accusations of ‘hate’ ‘antisemitism’ and talk of ‘Germany 1933’. Property damage is always a bad tactic because it allows the pro-genocide people to fume and rant about being victims when they are the supporters of the perpetrators of most shocking genocide in many years. The police report in other articles that the graffiti offenders had no ideology at all, in other words they were not pro-Palestinian activists, but that they were paid by someone.
Israel is a master of the dark arts of manipulation and coercive propaganda, and there are no limits to what it is prepared to do. In answer to the question who benefits if both sides of politics can ventilate about ‘hate’ and ‘antisemitism,’ even try to out compete each other in being the most alarmed about antisemitism. The outpourings from various ministers in the NSW government, the Federal government and Opposition must be music to ears of the zionists of Australia because all that noise covers the brutal fact that Israel is internationally known as a perpetrator of war crimes, genocide, and its leaders have an arrest warrant out for them by the International Criminal Court (ICC).
The Israeli lobby in Australia is the beneficiary of this hyperventilating about antisemitism and so the finger of suspicion must turn to that as the source of the problem as they are the ones who benefit from this manufactured growth of antisemitism. If we are fair, we can list the times when Israel broke rules, moral laws and engaged nefarious deeds and so it is reasonable to point the finger at the zionists in our society being engaged in distracting attention away from Israeli misdeeds over the last 16 months.
Yours sincerely
Denis Doherty
