A weekend rally for Palestine has been held in the Victorian resort town of San Remo on the weekend of the Phillip Island Moto Grand Prix. Protestors rallied at the San Remo bridge to the island, so that everybody going to and from the Grand Prix had to see their banners.
Demonstrators deliberately decided not to block the bridge, but made sure they were seen by the 40,000 people who attended the event over the weekend.
While there were a handful of negative responses, the main memories are of thumbs ups from tourists and bike riders.
