The Dismissal and the unholy Trinity

I would like to thank the Guardian for its material on the US-orchestrated bloodless coup against the Whitlam Labor government on the 50th anniversary. The irony and significance of the sacking of the Whitlam Labor government on Remembrance Day should not go unnoticed. It is a day that should be remembered for the outright sabotage of democracy in Australia.

Whitlam’s response to the letter from Peter Symon, then general. Secretary of the Socialist Party of Australia (now CPA), published in last week’s Guardian is in sharp contrast to the war-mongering, grovelling and spineless Albanese government.

I quote from Whitlam’s letter: “The Australian government takes the attitude that there should not be foreign military bases, stations, installations in Australia. We honour agreements covering existing stations. We do not favour the extension or prolongation of any of those existing ones.”

The Whitlam government strove for disarmament of all types of weapons and peace in international relations in sharp contrast to the current collection of sycophants who call themselves “Labor.”

The unholy trinity of Albanese, Marles, and Wong have surrendered Australian sovereignty to US imperialism and its plans to wage war against peace-loving China. They have already handed over billions of dollars to the US and UK military industrial complexes in the name of AUKUS – a suicidal and deadly half-trillion dollar folly.

The people of Australia are paying for AUKUS through homelessness, cuts to the NDIS, health care, and aged care.

History will judge Labor for what they are: spineless traitors to the people of Australia and the world.

In peace
