The Communist Party of Australia (CPA) salutes the heroic Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) on the 57th anniversary of your founding and your ongoing resistance.
We pay tribute to the martyrs of your movement who gave their lives for a free Palestine.
Since its founding in 1969 there are many moments of importance to the international history of the Communist movement, from the time of George Habash to your work within the PLO to establish sovereignty, self-determination and peace against the forces of Zionist imperialism.
It is of utmost importance for the international community that we support the cause of the Palestinian people in their fight against Zionism and in exposing the genocidal crimes committed in Gaza and on the West Bank to the world.
In Australia, CPA activists and people in general have stood in solidarity with Palestine for the last 2 years; for the end of the genocide and its recognition as an independent state. The Albanese government was forced in 2025 to shift its policy, by the people in this country and the heroic struggle of the Palestinian people on the ground.
We wish you all power in representing and unifying the progressive forces of the Palestinian people.
Long live the resistance of the Palestinian people in your pursuit of freedom, justice and self-determination!
Long live proletarian internationalism!
