We are all Palestinians!
The Communist Party of Australia stands in solidarity with the Palestinian people on the United Nations International Day of Solidarity with Palestine.
29th November reminds us of the catastrophe of the 1948 Nakba. On that day people were expelled from their land and the process of extermination began. Since then, the Palestinian people have used resistance as a legitimate means to free their land from the Zionist invaders.
For more than 2 years now we have experienced one of the bloodiest periods in modern history. We have witnessed the horrific genocide that has killed more than 65,000 Palestinian people, mainly women and children.
We in the CPA maintain our resolve to condemn the systematic genocide wrought on the Palestinian people both in Gaza and on the West Bank, where we are seeing the destruction of villages and farms and torture of civilians.
On November 29 we will take up your call to make the International Day of Solidarity a day of action and national liberation in Party organisations around the country, rather than just a symbolic gesture.
The Australian government has not respected international law; despite recognition of Palestinian statehood, it continues to support the actions of the Zionist state of Israel. We will insist that our government cease funding weapons systems to Israel and cut ties with both Israel and the United States.
The struggle of the Palestinian people is the struggle of today’s humanity that will shape the future for all. We are all Palestinians!
Long live the martyrs!
Long live the liberators!
